That makes sense. Thanks for sharing the insight.IMPBA: 7-Time FE World Record Holder "Don't think outside the box. Rather, refuse to admit that the box exists in the first place!"

Darryl, I created this thread a couple years ago.....when I knew no better. Why do I say that? Well after running a couple mgm's I've found they aren't completely necessary to have. Nice controllers no doubt, but quite expensive. You want a super nice high end build and just want the best looking controller, then this may be it. The problem I have with them however is if you have a failure then you have to deal with sending it back to Germany. Which is a pain and a little expensive. I think swordfish, seaking and soon to be castle fill these shoes well anyway. I do still have one left and I'm not sure what I'm going to do with it. I'm scared to run it to be honest but I'll have to get over that fear I guess. I have a nice v hull I'm building that I may install it in anyway, keep an eye out for the new sword fish x series. They look pretty nice.32" carbon rivercat single 4s 102mph, 27” mini Rivercat 92mph, kbb34 91mph, jessej micro cat(too fast) wasComment

So far Ive only have had one failure, it was a 300 from the first batch. Since then we are on our 4th batch or so and they have been great. I've been using a 220 X and love it, the data logging is awesome and it runs in cool in my p mono.Steven Vaccaro

Jeesum Pete’s. I haven’t even run my boat yet I finished months ago. Just haven’t been to the lake since my almost drowning episode. Gun shy I guess. That messed me up. We going camping this weekend so I’m gonna try and get a maiden on three boats I’ve finished. My 27” cat has a sf220 in it. I’ll let you guys know how I like it.32" carbon rivercat single 4s 102mph, 27” mini Rivercat 92mph, kbb34 91mph, jessej micro cat(too fast) wasComment

I’m sure that episode knocked your enthusiasm back! I think as long as you keep that sense of fear in you, you will be all right. And in time, that fear will grow to a very healthy respect for the water. I nearly drowned body surfing in Hawaii when I was a teenager... I was scared out of my gord to go back! But my love for the water overcame my fear, and a was left with a huge amount of respect. Water is a fascinating thing, beautiful and alluring! But water is bi-polar, at one point is your best friend, never ending fun, and the next, it’s trying to kill you! You just have to keep aware of that...Comment

I once ran out navel deep to get a boat. It was my first actual race boat. It was going down. I panicked. When I got to it is when I realized the water was in the high 40's.
I have 9 boats to have ready for Atlanta. Might be time for me to give another SF a try.Noisy personComment
