Yeah that would probably be the most Ideal setup. I am going to run a 5692 730kv motor on a 54" mono hull. Honestly, I'd be happy with anything over 35-40 mph. The hydra lx2 may be over kill but I wouldn't be opposed if I found one on the cheap. I'm looking for something that will be reliable and run cool. I think 8s should get me there. I really do appreciate the suggestion as I am relatively new to rc boats.
