    WTB: X-01 motor (castle 1717)

    FOUND

I'm looking for a good condition X-01 motor (castle 1717). I prefer the actual black traxxas version but open to the green can. Open to new or used. Let me know what you have., thanks.

I've got a black castle 1717 1650kv with water can. And a green castle 1520 1600kv with water can.. what are you wanting to spend on one?

Don't know much about the 1520. What diameter can is it? How do the 2 compare?

This is actually for a car so I do not have a need for the water jacket (can).

I'm assuming both are in good condition.

Pricewise I'm not sure. I can grab a new 1717 for $135ish so looking to beat that.

Not sure the diameter of the 1520. Same as the castle 1515 just a little bit longer. What are you trying to do with it? I have a three 1717... two are set up for boats and one is in my HPI savage.. I might be able to let one go.. lol.. I'd do $105 shipped for a 1717..

So you are someone I should be talking to about my project. I have a HPI 5SC Flux (the one based off an extended Savage platform) and I need a motor and ESC for it. I know people typically aim 1/5 scale but I was looking for an upgrade to stock. Figured the 1717 being approx 50% larger than the stock motor, was a good option. I wanted to pair it with a Hobbywing Max 6 ESC and just runt 6s.

How did you like it on your savage? What ESC are you using? What motor mount are you using? Is it the Alza one? If so would you consider a package deal?

I'd appreciate any info you have thanks.

The 1717 is plenty of power for the Savage lol.just need to play with the gear ratio for what you want to do with it. I'll have to check what mount it put in it but the 1717 bolt pattern is bigger so I had to modify the mount.. I ran a mamba monster 1/8 esc on 6s.. what kind of deal you looking for? I'd sell the whole truck..

Thanks but no need for the whole truck. Regarding the mount, I was looking first he kind that ends up wrapping around the motor and clamping it down. If you don't have that one than I'd really only be interested in the motor. Regarding price, are you firm at $105? Just trying to weight the benefit vs a new motor. Thanks

The diameter of the motor was to big for the clamp mount so I got the other mount that I could make work easily. Ya $105 on price. There's one on ebay with a broken shaft for the same price. Lol

The black 1717 are 1650kv.. the green 1520 says 1500kv but I was told it's a misprint that they are 1600kv..
