What kind of tires does one use at those speeds?
I put 3S in my Modded Traxxas Rustler with a 5500KV motor and hit 56 on the GPS, and it nearly ripped the tires off the wheels.Darin E. Jordan - Renton, WA

I've never seen that much damage to a motor before. Incredible.
What brand of battery is that? I've never seen balance tabs soldered to bottom of pack cells. I could be wrong considering the carnage of what is top and bottom...?Nortavlag Bulc

Yikes. I can't believe those batteries didn't go thermal nuclear. That so sucks. Radio issues are the worst. At least when something mechanical goes you can point to at and know what you did wrong.
Poor kid. My son freaked when we lost a wheel nut.Noisy personComment

Here is the car that I ran about 20 years ago.
1/10 Scale
1/10 of a 1/4 mile is 132ft.
1.8 sec from a dead stop.
trap speed last 10ft. = 118mph
18 - 2/3 sub "C" cells
Custom made motor by Astro - 90,000rpm
No ESC - just a Micro servo hooked to a 110v wall switch

I think most of the SAW car guys use nitro 1/10th scale touring cars, with stretched wheelbase and converted to electric.Paul Upton-Taylor, Greased Weasel Racing.Comment
