    Prop Shaft .187 Flex - 3/16 Props?

I am searching for a prop shaft for Fighter Cat Cheetah twin drive. The coupler I was loose, the flex, prop and prop shaft went swimming.

I am in need of a prop shaft for a .187 flex for a 3/16 prop. I have found many prop shafts, but they are for .150 flex. I have searched OffShore and Kintec with no luck. Any suggestions? Thank you

This is a picture of what I am searching for.

Buy a complete welded cable. None of the shafts work to glue a flex to. http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...?prod=ose-1190

I bought that flex and the shank is to small. The opening where this would slide into is .187. I need to find a shaft that has a portion that will slide into the strut.

The only ones I have found are the German ones: MBP, WD 200, and such but the shafts are then 6mm OD

That is a .150 cable. Or appears to be as I have not found any thing that I can glue a 3/16" cable into outside of the German ones. The last pic you showed, can you measure the shaft where it runs on the bushings? This may shed some light on things as there may be some odd Chinese metric shaft floating out there. If this is the case perhaps you can do a spacer and use a standard 3/16 welding cable shaft assembly

^^^^ exactly. How could a 3/16 prop shaft be bigger than a 3/16 flex? In the pic the shaft is bigger than the flex so they both aren't 3/16. It must be a .250 shaft with a .187 flex and shaft necked down to 3/16?

I do not have one here but perhaps it is a 1/4" stub necked down to 3/16". Like I said I do not have one so I can't check to see if a 3/16" flex fits nicely. Perhaps Jeff Wolts will have a stub. RCraceboat or something is the website.

I measured the flex, it is .187. the shaft OD is .238 using a micrometer. I replaced the flex a few months ago, they are .187. The prop nut is a 10/32. Here is a picture of the set up.

Here is a picture with the prop removed. The shaft where the prop is secured measured .187 with the micrometer. I should have had this picture up sooner. The shank measures .236.

I understand how a one piece setup maybe stronger. The flex is secured with loctite. So far I have reached 62mph without any problems other then a human mistake for the coupler was not tight enough. Thanks again.

Ok, now if that is your stinger I have what you are after. They are German and I have a pair new here.

Thank you for informing me of the brand. I knew they were German but did know who made them. The mystery has been solved. LOL How much do you want for the parts? If the price is right, I will buy the stingers if they are for sale. I would keep them as back up parts. Thanks

The stingers were trimmed at the top to facilitate mounting to a certain hull, not sure if I should part with them ATM. As far as the shafts go let me look things up and we'll go from there. I'll try to get time today.
