[QUOTE=kfxguy;629039]Not even close. A good alternative is a sword fish 240 pro plus 2. They are completely water proof, have data logging and are pretty stout and proven.
Do you think the swordfish 240 pro plus 2 can run without water for one or two passes on a saw run? i am running a 10s battery at 44 volts.
Thanks Nick
First, let me apologize for the unimformed "not even close" post by another member. Feel free to make your choice. I gave a response that is working for me in 1/8 scale hydro FE racing here in the Northwest. I run 8S on this ESC, its rated to 12, and I'm winning. See a recent FE final here....https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l-Rn...ShwKBS8ESOci7x It also has the nitro final.
I decided to offer this ESC after much searching and its from the UK where this company has had great success and reviews. When you buy this ESC you add your own length wires, plug and go. Ive programmed them for you on 8s and the transmitter auto calibrates so you're not spending your time on forums saying, "why won't this work".
You don't know me from nothin but I only offer what I and my family of racers race with.

I've done it by accident but I wouldn't recommend it. It's a pretty stout controller.

Good luck in your search.

Alien Esc = flier Esc which I've had many of which proved unreliable for myself. I'm speaking from my personal experience. The sf240 and 300 are much better for barely more money. Sorry if the facts I've experienced you offended you.

They're marine escs and watercooled and waterproofed. Just as I did you state opinion, certainly not facts. I don't get offended by uninformed comments. At least if you suggest something else give the buyer a source to get them. They're out of stock here.

They go in and out of stock often here. Most everyone knows an alternate source is kintec but I'm promoting this forums store. Steve doesn't stay out of stock long. If the flier escs have been improved over the past ones maybe they are worth a look. I liked the way mine worked and performed....while they worked. The main issue with them is the cooling block was sealed with some sort of non sealing silicon and if you went over 60 then the seal leaked onto the circuit board and poof. If this issue has been fixed, it may be worth it now.

You are correct. Steve is great. I made a point of not responding on thread until I saw that no one had. I've had success with Alien. They all have pluses and minuses. If I can help with a product I'd be glad to help. BY the way kfx, I think I have the speedmaster version of the steering knuckle you were looking for in another thread. Http://www.allrc1.com

Thanks. I checked it out and I have a rudder like that on another boat and unfortunately it's a bigger size. I think maybe the mini rudder (4" version) may fit but I need the height on the bearing block and hinge part.
