I think "we" should create a time rule. At least 24 hours before the sale moves on... Dang Grey Area....Why are you bothering me? I want to see your boat!

What seems to be taking place is a double standard by some posters of this thread.
Albeit Vin-m did not respond and still has not, I find interesting that a close enough associate to Vin-m "Royalcasa" would post in this thread if:
"I will take it if something changes"
In addition to Royalcasas post I was also PMed:
"I will take it if something changes"...............Screen shot if needed.
If I am not mistaken that is a violation. I quote Rule 6 (6. ALL offers and deals must be done on the forum and NOT in private messages! rule changed to "Must" on 8/10/2012.)
Moving forward when Gilbert619 expressed his interest I went back and reread all forum rules and I saw no infraction and sold the item to Gilbert619.
In addition to I followed forum protocol with "Sold Pending Funds"
Royalcasa posted I quote
"Don't think what you did was right but will let the moderators make that desission ..bi know for a fact that vin is at work till 1800 hrs"
It is obvious that you know Vin-m due to the fact that you know his working schedule. But what disturbs me is the fact that you would post and PM me about purchasing the ESC out from underneath your friend.
Royalcasa I will say again sincerely I am sorry if you feel that way.
If I have blatantly crossed any boundary I will accept my due reprimand.
Paul

I don't think you broke any real rules but the Wanted to Buy area is even more of a Grey Area. I don't think you need to be "punished" or anything like that but when I sale things I try to give the buyer at least 24 hours unless I get a silly over the top offer.
More than a few members personally know each other here, some are neighbors or co-workers and a lot of them meet at races. I keep in touch with a few of the people that have helped me out or built me a boat.
My mindset on OSE is that everyone is your friend and we should all treat each other that way so the fan does't get too much "poo" on it. On the other hand, I have had someone in my Ignore list.
Don't take any postings to heart. I am not the rule police but I feel like I am always stepping on Doug Smock's toes no matter what I do....
If someone does create a Want to buy thread it's started because THEY want to buy it (or resell it), if they don't respond in a day then it's kind of up to you. Not all of us can use our phones at work or get on the computer so that's what is usually the hold up. I am constantly on OSE after Winter...
Sorry for the long post but I get carried away... Time to list some stuff for sale....
Here is an example of a local group in Florida that knows each other: http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...ub-Sarasota-FLWhy are you bothering me? I want to see your boat!
