If you're in a hurry, I purchased this from ebay and it looks like a Turnigy 120A ESC...only much faster shipping than HK. :)

I usually use a 2S 1100mah or 1600mah LiFe pack for receiver/servo power. A BEC is another good option but I haven't tried water proofing one yet. :)

                    Dude
The Venom ESC is a Seaking 120A (v2) \ Turnigy 120A clone, specs are here... http://www.hobbywing.com/product_show.asp?id=220 those specs also apply to the Turnigy & the Venom clones.

2S~6S, built in BEC, programmable by Tx or HobbyWing program box & the various clones of them.

If you would rather avoid eBay, you can buy it direct from Venom... http://www.atomikrc.com/collections/...-120a-boat-esc - notice free ship

It's exactly the same as the Seaking's \ Turnigy's - I downloaded Venom boat manuals till I found the one that use's this ESC, all settings are precisely the same.

HK sells the Turnigy 120's for $49.99 + ship = just shy of $60 total (I paid $49.99 + $7.99 ship), so the Venom copy is competitively priced.

Hope that helps you out - good luck

                        That's a re-badged SkyRC Swordfish... http://www.skyrc.com/index.php?route...product_id=111

                        Here's the card... http://www.skyrc.com/index.php?route...product_id=112

Was looking at getting one of those, but after reading the reviews on HK decided to stay with the Seakings \ Turnigy's & clones - gonna call Venom support tomorrow find out what gauge wire they used on that one I posted a link to.

The AtomikRC 120A ESC has 12 gauge wire on both sides. EC5 connector on the battery leads. I just looked at mine. :)

I'm going to use it in my new Tunnel hull if I can ever find an OS Lower Unit.

fidelity - THANK YOU!! for the update

Just checked my Turnigy 120A - 12ga on both sides - recently converted my boats to EC5's, like them better than Traxxas cuz the wire makes 360° with the bullet.

Are the Atomik EC5's split top??

I know the motor bullets are 4mm, no prob, easy to remove & replace with CC 5.5's - have a set on hand.

FYI: Check the swap shop, could'a swore I saw a couple OS lowers there.

I don't believe they are. They're just standard ec5 which I think are the same width front to back. Here are a few pictures. Sorry they're not very helpful..Id have to remove the cover to show a better picture
