    Steerable drive

I'm looking for a steerable drive, some from like a Super Hawaii or an old Blackjack 26 unit, something like that. I'm building a cheap little retrieval boat and would like the slow speed maneuvering a drive like that can offer. I have a brand new offset or cat style center rudder assembly for trade if interested, and a nice aluminum laydown servo mount. otherwise shoot me a pic and price if you could.
I will also need a small motor for this project.
    Thanks
    Sammy

on my recovery i found that a average size rudder had low speed turning problems. I put a much wider and longer (dont care about drag) and it turns very sharply at low sppeds now. I'd be concerned with universal joint failure on a steerable drive. I wanted to make it as simple and reliable as possible.

Ya I hear ya bud. Just feel like because it will see lite use it would be adequate. But I am thinking about it tho lol.
Maybe just a flat bottomed hunk of epoxied over foam with a forked bow and a small center keel or short turn fin towards the bow. rudder inline with prop and a pile of throw? IDK.
The pontoon boats cumbersome at times, just was thinking cheap and effective

I use a really big prop and low kv motor for lots of low speed thrust.....1500kv on 2s.

I have a couple in my boxes. Give me a few days to dig out what I have and post some pics.
