Yes, I am sure 2250's would be adequate.

Or 2240 or 1950. I'm building one with 1950s right now.
You can get 2260s in there, but I'm not sure if the OP realizes how large/heavy 2260s are. 800g each with collet.

I already have jackets for them plus it'll haul ass!!! and the mounts are made for a 44mm motor. if you remember I built it originally with those Psyclone hobbies 1650kv 4474s I grenaded one of them DSC02895.jpg I'd go 2250s if somebody had a pair of them.

You aren't alone Chris, I have 2250's for my HPR 115.
Which BTW came from our friend here. Hehe

Gotcha. Sounds like the 22 series will be the easiest bolt-up.
A 2240LK is 80mm long, that might be the best fit for your mounts. A 2260 is 100mm long, so if you do go that route make sure you have the room for the extra inch in length.
Keep in mind that Lehners won't compare to the motors you had. The same size Lehner will be both heavier and more powerful. The same KV will be hotter and faster. Both perhaps good things but of course they should be accounted for. A 1450kv Lehner would probably be faster than your 1650kv psyclone motors, partially due to the "loaded" rating vs "unloaded" rating. Also, for reference, the boat in this video was running 2240s on 4s and 6s at 107mph:

In my opinion, if you're going to buy Lehners, buy the EXACT model you want. Get the right kv and size for your application. They hold their value well, so don't expect a big discount on buying them used, and you will also likely have a hard time finding someone that has them without jackets.

Boyd has a pair of 2250/7s for sale (last I knew). Depending on what you want to do with the cat, these may be an option. Size/power-wise they are either SAW motors or "overkill" sport motors on 6s.
