Consider building a JAE FE over the winter. It's a great first boat build if you have no experience. Great handling boat, easy to set up and moves very well with UL1 Power.

Also plenty of people here have built them. So if you run into a snag on the build, you'll have plenty of help here on OSE.

What size kv motor, on 2s and/or 3s, goes 70mph+ in a Rigger.

What size rigger are you talking and what kind of running are you going to be doing (sport, racing, SAW) ?? You are going to need a pretty stout speed controller to get to 70 on 2S or 3S. Runs will probably be very short also. I have a P-Hydro that I race that is 70'ish but I had to modify the heck out of a JAE to be able to fit the battery and motor required to get me there.
