Does anybody have anything? I just toasted my couple hour old Etti HV 120 due to no water flow and need a replacement . Thanks.

I have one of these that is going into a 37'' Cat. I haven't tried it yet, but I am using the Swordfish 6s/220a in another boat and I'm pretty happy with it. Price is't bad either.

That looks pretty interesting as well. I like the 200/240 burst part just in case, though I do like the 14S capability of the Etti if I decide to use it in something bigger in the future. Decisions, decisions... Thanks for the link!

If your absolutely dedicated to 8S - this unit should take care of your needs... http://www.hobbywing.com/product_show.asp?id=234 - it can go to 12S and do 180amp burst.

You'll need a UBEC or Rx battery pack, doesn't have BEC built in.

It's a bit on the spendy side thought... http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...-seaking-130HV - I can save you well over $100 if you can live with 6S.

        Food for thought...
Already setup with both UBEC's and RX packs here, none of my boats use BEC. I appreciate the offer, but I have plenty of 6S capable controllers kicking around, just nothing 8S and above (besides whats in my planes). Thanks anyway.

I ordered one yesterday, thanks! I just hope it went through, even after paying via paypal it still shows in my cart on the site. Don't know if it is a glitch in the site or what. Thanks again.

            Hey Joe,

I have a Spartan Traxxas. I'm about to start running a Seaking 130a HV, CC BEC Pro, Leopard 4082 2000kv with 8s.
How do you power your BEC in your boats? 4AA Battery pack or an additional Lipo (1s) or do you try and run it off your main power (8s lips)?

            Many Thanks

My RX's typically get power from a separate battery pack. A couple have 5 cell nimh packs and a few are powered direct off a 2S lipo with no UBEC or anything. I have yet to have a problem ever running any of my RX's directly off a 2S pack, but I cannot in good faith recommend it due to it being higher voltage than most RX's and many servos are rated for.

I have a spartan with the leopard running 200amp swordfish on 6 cells with dual rudder and aluminum trim tabs and can't keep it on the water it is blazon fast. 8 cells and you will spend lots of time fishing it out. Put spray foam in the back and tape the whole hatch. Probably going to sell mine my pond isn't big enough for 60+ mph. Good luck with yours let me know if it holds the water or goes airborne.
