    It looks like a wire drive. Almost impossible to tell diameter from a pic. I have a .62 that has never been run. Meant to get a .78 but got that one instead on accident. It's a lot longer but simple to cut to size.

            What boat is it out of? Did you buy it used. Have you ever bought a coupler for it.

                  the one i have i a 3/16 dive dog (stub shaft). I just measured with some calipers. the .062 is 1.6 mm and the .078 is 2.0 mm. do you have a set of digital calipers?
                  maybe try sending the original owner a message to see if they know for sure.
