WTB 1/10 Scale Model Blower Motor

Looking for a blown model engine for my 70's drag boat, I can't seem to find any of the Parma Hemi kits or donor toys in the right size.

Anybody have one they can part with or know where I can find one?

I really don't want to spend more than $20 bucks as I suspect it will just end up deep sixing when I blow over

I "think" 1/10 scale is about right for my project, looking for something around 4" long and 3" wide to go on this:http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...Gasser-Goes-FE

    Hoping for this look:

    Thanks for your time!

Good luck, I searched far and wide for one and the best I could find was 1/6 scale. I paid $20.00 shipped for a 1/6 scale 6.1 hemi on fleabay the ones with blowers are around $35.00 and up.

Bummer! I think the 1/6 on this 25" hull might look like an orange on a toothpick!
We have a hobby show in the area this weekend....maybe I'll get lucky there!

If that doesn't work I thought about scavanging the top of the engine off one of the Maisto 1/18 Muscle Machines, they look to be oversized for the scale. A block and pipes wouldn't be too hard to fab if needed.

Cool diamond plating! Is that decal?

It's a vinyl sticker from Kintec, comes in 8.5 x 11 sheets. He also has one in carbon fiber.

I've carved a couple scale engines for hydros, one is 1/10 scale, just used 1/8" stacked balsa sheet to make up the block, heads and valve covers, then some basswood and a dremel for the bits and pieces on top of and around the engines.
I'm not much of a carver but from 5 feet away they look good, look great at a distance.
Should be easy to find the dimensions for a big block hemi then scale it to 1/10.
Most people would be able to a better job of carving than I did, the block and heads look really good, I'm sure if I did it again I'd be able to get a better shape to the valve covers and intake piping, carb and supercharger. Think I'd actually try something harder than basswood for the details, the dremel wouldn't do as much damage when it gets away from me!
Do they make 1/10 scale plastic car models? Maybe buy a late 60's Dodge muscle car kit? No idea never been a plastic kit modeler.
If my boats upside down then who owns the one I thought I was driving the last two laps?

Thanks for the idea...I may end up doing that, rob some shiny pieces off my boys cars and build my own.

I found Crawford Performance Engineering CPE, has a scale blown 1/10-1/12 ( u decide) motor. They get them from Ridemakerz.com tha has 3 different styles. They also sell them individually. CPE under "promo" is the best picture.

Thanks bud, I will check them out. Might be a bit small, but I may just order one anyways.
                  Appreciate the tip!

They are borderline 1/10 scale. The 1/10 scale clod buster crowd seem to use them alot, and I see them on the NQD Boats. For $5.00 they even look good sitting on my shop desk. Losi makes an exhaust that looks great for boats.

The website says its 2"x2", for 5 bones you can't lose. If it doesn't look right here I'm sure an application will show up somewhere. I think I'll order a couple if I can't find anything at the NWMHE this weekend in Monroe.
Thanks again for the lead !
