    Graupner K 42mm props

I'm looking for the set of counter rotating 42mm props. The OSE shop doesn't seem to gave the counter rotating 42mm. Please let me know if you have the set or where I can find them. Thanks.

O.k. what I have is a pair of new 42mm Graupner carbon 4mm threaded props L&R and a pair of new 45mm Graupner L&R props for 3/16" drive dog.

        Would you like pictures?

I have 3/16" drive cables and I don't know if the 45mm props will work. With my motor setup, everyone said to get the 42mm. I'm running FighterCat Racing 3126 1500w 1600kv motors and Turnigy 120A ESCs.

            Well, what to do???

Graupner makes L& R carbon props for 3/16" drive but, only in 40mm and 45mm +++. Graupner also makes L& R carbon 42mm props BUT, they are threaded with brass 4mm Left and Right threads!!

The only way to successfully run the Graupner 42mm props without 4mm L&R threaded drive shafts is to run L&R step down shafts to 1/8", then take a 7/64" drill bit to drill out the centers of both props.

After they are drilled out you can thread the props onto the standard 5-40 threaded end of the 1/8" step down shafts. You might want to run a backer nut on the prop that turns clockwise viewed from the rear. The remainder of brass and plastic thread quite tightly onto the shaft. If you use a new drill bit, they should run true.

In the long run, running Octura Copper Ber. x442 L&R props detongued may be a much easier and far better solution.

How will running the 45mm be on the electronics of the system? If the 45 works, I'll use it no problem. I was unaware that the 42 had the threading.

This is my first boat....I'm not completely sure about those settings. Is there a way to regulate that? I thought it was just calculated from the max kV of the motors.

Well then maybe it would be good to set a goal then.

What would you like out of your boat, a lot of run time or a lot of speed? being your first boat maybe runtime is better first. I'm not saying it will be a slug but, you have to start somewhere.

I don't know the motors max Voltage rating off the top of my head but, it would run fine on 4S (14.8V approx. under load) 5S 18.5V or 6S 22.2V depending on hull size, What hull are we talking about?

Steve at OSE also sells some CNC L& R props in that size range. Ebay has them too but, maybe more expensive...

Oh sorry, I forgot about the batteries part of it. I will be running a 6S setup in a 37" twin cat.

Ahhh, o.k. now it's a hull I've had in my hands then. It will be pretty fast on the 45's and be at max on escs. You can do short runs, SAW.

40mm or 42mm would be better to start, lower amps better run time.

The X442 or 43mm CNC L&R props would be good. Octuras need sharpening & balancing but, the CNC just need equal sharpening.

I like the cnc props Steve has. I have some from elsewhere before he carried them and they are very nice.
