Need an ESC

Posting this for a buddy. He bought a boat from hobby king that worked well. Tried to drop in a different motor and smoked his ESC. Before I could tell him to do a little research on a new one, he bought a 180amp ESC from an ebay site that came with no instructions, or how to do setup on the thing. Worked only 1 time. Frustrated, and tired of burning a hole in his wallet, he listened to my advice, and has a good quality hull on order. Now I need little help with ESC.

So need to know whats a reliable ESC on the market? Is the Swordfish 200 amp a good unit? Or the hobby wing Sea King a good buy?

Any good, reliable ESCs in the 100-150 price range let me know.

I have a SwordFish 200amp for $95 shipped, new, never used in the swap shop. These are reliable speedos with a good track record.
