    JAE 21 Rigger CF Booms

Had a run-in with a buoy today...where can I find replacement solid CF booms? The originals are 0.3115" which seems like an odd size...

They are 8mm, an even size.

Or is it a "proper" fraction (5/16")...

The original hollow ones from zip were fractional, the newer solid ones are 8mm (a "fraction" bigger and very tight in the tubes.)

Any special method for drilling sponson mounting holes in the solid rods?

My special method is not to drill them at all, I tape them or use clamps to avoid building in weak spots near the breaking points.

The holes provided nice "break-away" points and prevented any hull or sponson damage, so I think I'll stick to the drilling method...JMHO.
