12mm threaded collet for .250 cable

This might be a good gas guy kinda thing. It's for a big motor I have with a 12mm threaded shaft.

Ill dig thru my parts boxes tomorrow. I think I have a couple collets that fit a Zenoah for 1/4" shaft. Not sure what thread they are? Its been too long that I messed w/ gassers. Im forgetting the size of everything.

Pretty sure that will be a non find item. The largest off the shelf collet at least made in the US is the 10mmx1mm Aeromarine collet. It has enough meat to drill out and re tap to 12mm but barely.

          Thanks!

I'll have to see about having one machined then. Greatly appreciate the information.

Are you looking for a Square or Coller drive?

I'm looking to mate the 12mm threaded shaft up to a normal 1/4" flex shaft. So a set screw type collet would work OK.

It's for a big motor in a big catamaran.
