WTB Clear Shrink for 4S and bigger packs

    Hello everyone,

I am looking for a place that has clear shrink that will fit 4S and bigger packs. I have some 3" stuff that works for 2S packs, but I can't find anything for the bigger packs.

    Anyone, anyone... Buller?

    Later,
    Mike

What are the dimensions of your packs? Steve has up to 3 5/8 clear shrink.

The 3 5/8 size will work for 4S packs. What you want if buying the plastic (PVC) heat shrink is at least 4mil wall. It took me awhile to find a seller who had 6 mil. The thicker stuff retains the shape and structure of a pack. Its also what a lot of lipo manufacturers use.

While on the topic, how is the shrink heated without danger to the batts?

You can use a heat gun or a hair dryer. I have used both. It will shrink up faster than the heat can be transfered to the cells.

Use the closest fitting shrink that you can get for your batteries.
