it is very simple to make the 5mm-.150 coupler work on the .187 flex, just drill it out a tad, ive done it twice

Good luck...drilling hardened steel is not easy...I have done a few but only from 062 to 078 and even those were hard.

well i've drilled out this style a couple times and there was nothing hardened about that metal, it drilled out very easily, .150-.187 is just a tad.

The Etti 5mm to .187" couplers have less rotating mass. So if your coupler is rotating out of round you will have less vibration and turn more rpm's. Be sure to tighten it verywell.

Does it need to be the octura brand?

I have some stainless steel 5mm - .187 coming this week. They are small and compact like the ETTI's.

OSE also has these in stock: http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...d=aero-coupler

            Curious.

Dees is the one I ended up with. Thought I was getting a two piece design like my others, but I'm sure these will work out OK.
