    K&B 3.5 OB prop shaft

Looking for a prop shaft for a 3.5 outboard, not the flex but the solid part the flex slides into and the prop goes on.
    Thanks
If my boats upside down then who owns the one I thought I was driving the last two laps?

look under outboard motor accessories for the 3.5 prop shaft assembly (the picture shows the 3.5 and the 7.5)

Have a look at the ProBoat parts. I am sure that outdrive is a K&B knockoff. You could order it from your LHS.

I'll have to look into that, I know I can get Proboat and Aquacraft parts but not much else.
Thats right the PB outboard does use the same flex as the K&B, looks like maybe a couple of alternatives to the OEM, that's if you can even find parts in stock at Mecoa! ALways seem to be "processing" something! To bad back in the 80's they made some good engines at realistic prices. LOL can't afford to run big nitro boats anymore.
        Thanks guys.

Ya I've ordered some stuff through Chris, nice guy. Anything through Horizon and one other supplier.
Castle as well, I guess for the car and plane guys.
Can't afford much right now with these Vet bills!

I think the site is www.necoa.com
They have all the outboard parts you'll need for a K&B.

You have to be careful with that part number. I think the earlier ones were captured and the newer ones are threaded. I ordered one because one of the tabs were broken off of the drive dog. The one I got was threaded but my lower unit wasn't. I was able to swap out some parts to make it work as the threads are a left hand 5/16-30. The tap is very expensive if you can find one in stock.

Good observation Chuck! I have an older (12mm crank motor) and newer (13mm) and they both are threaded. I do remember hearing about the non threaded lowers though...

Mine is threaded as well, thanks for the heads up on the non threaded ones, My one from long ago was also threaded, remember the backwards thread very well!
