x650? Dude that's a monster on a 33" hull! Have you ran it with a smaller prop yet?
I'm with you on the monos bro. I have messed around with cats and hydros but nothing gives me a rush like a big powerful mono going full out into the turns!

Brad, have you checked out Fighter cat's little 26" mono? Its a DF style hull and he is selling them really cheap right now. I have been trying to stay away from one since I am in the middle of two builds already but I get closer to picking one up each day.

No runs yet going to try tomorrow if the weather holds. Keith i run the same prop on my Genesis with the 1717 and she move's...but might start out with a m447 or a x645...What do ya think...

I had my DF after paint in the SS but nothing but low ball offers so i going to keep it and run the 5692 if it doesnt sell as well....Just need a hv esc as mine took a crap on me just trying to program it...Castle link says controler not responding, and no sound either....UHHH thats what i get for buying used.....

A couple things with that x650:

                      1) You are going to be pulling a TON of current. You may have gotten away with it before, but that doesnt mean you weren't operating way above the limits of that esc. Put it this way: The 4082 I sold you a while back was 1600kv, almost teh same as your 1580kv 1717. With a s225 (46.7 x 1.5 pitch) it pulled 209A. The x650 is not only bigger, but has more pitch. I would have to think that setup would be capable of pulling 250A+

                      2) You are most likely going to flip that boat with that prop. I'm not sure if you had trouble keeping your genesis in the water or not with that prop, but I would think you would have.

I would try the m447 and see how it goes. If you want a little more prop, try the x645. Make sure they are absolutely sharp for the most speed, and if its still not fast enough try having someone put some cup into your props.

Either way, get some video. I have made some pretty cool runs doing things that everyone else said wouldn't work so theres no reason you cant too. I could be completely wrong, just telling you what my thoughts are.

Yep had problems keeping the Genesis on the water! It tamed down a tad with a X450...but that may be large as well...
