Hey! If you do get one, you should eventually convert it to brushless. I did that for my brother and he loves it now (he's 7). Yep, definitely start with the stock one! If you ever need to know which motor/esc/lipos to get just PM me and I'll give you all the info.

I have the yellow one I might part with.
Its completely stock all around.
Been run about 10 cycles total.
Was my 10 yr Olds first boat (still is). I was looking to upgrade it but I could be persuaded to just sell it and go a different boat for her.
