I think he is missing out by not grabbing that cat above. If he's not looking for turbine, I believe they offer a flat hatch for it. Would be a great boat for going fast straight AND in turns!

Good catch "Brushless55" That was just a test to see if you were paying attention...
The still Photos in the vid were from last year when I was running 1700KV align motors... Any "Align" graphics have since been replaced with little Castle logo's... She ran like a scalded dog with the Align motors, but also ran 170-190 degrees... When I switched out the motors my temps fell to nothing and I picked up 2-3 mph...

Brian I have a really nice PIP Bittburger cat with an incredible paint job on it, but its only 34"...
As it sits its hull/hardware minus motor mount and flex/stuffing tube. I could sell it as it is, with mount and tube, RTR, just depends what he wants and how much he wants to spend. Not sure if he wants something that small or not, but it is more scale looking (more than the genesis even) so I think he would definitely love the looks of it.

Let me know if its something you think he might want.

I was going to put .187 cable and 1/4" stuffing tube in. I tried .187 flex+7/32" tube and it was too tight and it got hot until it failed. I could do .150flex+7/32" tube but this boat goes fast really well so I like to put big power to it

I have carbon fiber leopard moutns, or I have the aluminum ones I made for my 1520-1Y. I broke the 1520 that was in it but I have another one ready to go in. Its brand new, other than the rear fins have been machined off to fit the rear mount on. Here are some pics:

Heres a pic of the motor w/o jacket when I first put it in, and another of the boat after it broke the flex. Obviously that motor is junk now and the tube and flex need to be replaced. I was apprehensive about using that 7/32" tubing and now I 100% convinced that 1/4" tuning is a better fit for .187 if there is any bend at all.

I ran it first with that 4082/1600kv leopard but stepped it up to a 1520 castle neu and a Castle creations ICE HV160 esc. With that setup it easily runs 60's and I think could hit 70s with little work.

I think the hardware is fine design...there are some more pics where you can see the hardware, ect. here:
                                http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...pip+bittburger

Its the best looking boat Ive ever had. It has some spider cracks in the paint in a couple spots, I could take some pics tomorrow probably.

Im looking to get $400 shipped for the hull/hardware. If you want I can order you a stuffing tube and flex, or just take a few bucks off if you want to do it yourself. I still have the mounts and would include motor mount setups for the leopard motor or the 1520. Like I said to use the rear portion of the mount on the 1520 you have to machine a couple fins off. If need be I could probably just trade you motors if you have one as well (mine already has the fins machined off). Or I would sell it with motor, cooling jacket, ICE esc, and pistix for $750.

As far as the 1717 vs. 4082, you probably wont see a lot of difference unless you prop it up with the 1717. That motor will push a bigger prop but is still very close in kv to the 1600kv motor you had.
The 1520 is a bit longer can than the 4082 leopard. There is a noticable difference in power between those as well..
