I also use HF $9.99 one,same as Diesel.Works excellent and very accurate.Also 'cause its size you can use it/move inside the hull.........well worth the money!!

It doesn't say it's infrared, is it? I know it's a silly questions, but just wanted to be sure. I don't need anything crazy, just check some motor and cap temps at the pond.

Doesn`t say so,but when comparing temps with an "infrared one" it came very,very accurate.So well worth the $9.99!!!,..................................

I purchased the same temp gauge Diesel has from Harbor Freight..$9.99 works great and u can't beat the price!!

Autozone or O'Rileys auto parts 8.95 for the one I have. It even has a backlit display and holds on the highest temp until the trigger is pulled again. Good to 500* F (You know you will need it to go that high with your setups!!!!.......lol)

That is hilarious!!! You know me all too well! Thing is, I don't cook equipment like you. But I do run an outrunner now and again that can't throw a magnet

Thank you all for the input. I picked up the one from Harbor Freight and it seems to work great. Good price and ultra small, what more could you want? Oh, has a stopwatch too.
