ok I just found out this esc works flawlesly from the previous owner but he said he could not use LVC which seems to be the case with all Turnigy Hobbywing esc's

he said all he did was when his boat slowed down he brought it back in and changed bats

another alternative would be to get a "lipo sheild" .......$20 which basicly does the same thing

i will take it... i have another one of these and they work good. i make short runs and change batteries alot anyway so lipo cut off isnt an issue. the turnigys are tricky to program because not only do you need to change the cell count you also need to change the volts per cell.
