The motor is new and was never used. It has a tranny mounted as you can see but it is easily removed so you can run the motor direct. The motor was intended for an R&D project for work. It was the back up motor in case the first identical set up failed. It didnt fail and after a year of testing the original set up is still going strong. This motor has some minor surface scratches on the can from the mounting process to insure it was operational. Asking $200 or possible worthy trade.

I would consider anything worthy of it's $$$ figure, i.e hulls with hardware or a quality ESC like Castle or Navy. 200A range. In great condition of course.

I'll stick with $ 200 for now. The motor is worth $260 I believe and it is brand new.

8 or 5mm shaft ?

Because of the tranny that's mounted to it it has a 5mm shaft.

Please provide details on transmission, eg, maker, bearings, style of gears, gear ratio, output shaft diameter, availability of repair/replacement parts.

with the tranny removed will it bolt up to a conventional motor mount plate

The gear drive is the model P32 made or sold by Neu so replacement parts if needed would be from them. The ratio is 5.3:1. The unit uses needle bearings and the output shaft is 6mm on the gear box, 5mm on the motor. With that gear ratio it wouldn't be good for high speed use because of the reduction. can be removed to run direct however.

Yes. With the gear box removed it can bolt up motor plate that are for this size motor.

i planned on using it in a a Sport .40 hydro or an .45 outrigger. Boats range in size from 34 to 37 inches in length.
