here's something to consider. You said you were looking for the xr3i. I recently picked up an xs3 pro off of fleabay (see picture here). I paid roughly $35 plus $5 to ship. It has all the features of your radio, plus it is synthesized so you can change crystal channel at your whim and it has 10 model memory.

I wasn't sure if you had your heart set on getting the same thing, but i figure i'd share that there is other options out there that may be in the same price range.

Got the transmitter!!! It works, but have yet to test it this sa morn. On the water.. Let you know for sure.. Kinda scarry considerinng how much time and money i have into the maritimo ill be testing it with!!
