    WTB motor for mean machine-9xl?

I will be running 4s, so I was thinking 9xl. Feedback welcome on what to run(newbie).
    Thanks

I run 4S2P in my MeanMachine, and a 9XL is the best combination of power and amp draw with m445 to m645 props. Actually a 10XL was just about as fast with the larger prop. Just make sure the boat runs clean and free. If running too wet you'll pull a lot of amps. Figure a minimum of a 100 amp ESC, 120 to 150 would be even better. You may not pull that much but a little extra capacity can mean not burning up an ESC when you prop just a bit too big or drag a wad of weeds around too long.

Sorry, I do not have a motor for sale.

Fluid. Thanks for the reply. I have a 125a esc.
I can see(logisticly) that 5s(1-2s/1-3s) set up might be happening in the near future. Is 9xl still good for both 4s and 5s?
I want to place an order today for the motor and props. Help is very much appreciated

I would say go with the 9xl, if you are going to run 5s also.

I have ran all of these motors in my MM,,, Jay T. is right on the money.. Go with the 9 or 10xl for sure.. The 8xl is alittle hot for this hull with the x445-m645 and would need a higher amp esc to be safe,, somewhere between 170-240 amps.. With a 125amp esc stay with the 10xl and it will give you the least amp draw with less heat..

Why not order a new 10XL from Steven here at OSE? It would be the safest with the ESC you have,, if you wanted to run 5s the 10xl is the way to go 110%.. You will be happy with the performnce for sure..
Nothing like keeping you lipos warm and your prop wet!!

I have the 8 XL in mine now and am wondering if getting a 9XL or the 580 6L would be better

of the lipos esc and motor in my boat the motor is the hotest after a run

The 580 is a too large for the MM,, not needed at all.... Go for the 10xl and you will be able to prop up and go faster without heating things up compared to the 8xl.. That is just a little too hot for that hull...

How fast are you going with the 10XL and which prop ?
I only want to use 4S2P lipos

                        For heat racing a x445-m645 with 10xl runs mid-40's..

Are you wanting to run short bursts at high speed or long runtime with moderate speed?

I have found the 12xl to be a great combo for 6s boats under 34".....
