how did you get $1500 into it?

I mean, I just got a nice deal on a new ul1 and am going to trick it to the max running on 6s, I'm seeing about $500 when I'm done.

Granted I already had a Nomadio tx/rx, 6s packs and lots of better servos laying around, but still, how'd you manage to spend $1500 on it?

Not trying to be a wiseazz or anything, just wondering what kool parts I'm missing for the extra grand.
5 cars, 9 trucks, 2 scale, 1 crawler, 2 boats, 8 helis, 3 planes, 1 jet, a hydralic endloader, and that’s just the ones that are rtr or nearly so, not even counting the ones in a bucket, ugh, I got it bad.

he told me he paid $300 for a $210 motor, $50 for a $20 prop, $200 for $170 esc...... get the picture. i ordered all the same parts including a new boat, motor, servo, esc, flex and coupler for about $850 shipped. i will sell the tx/rx - motor and esc bringing it to about $700 without batteries. he probablly has the additional $650 in the turn fin and gps....

Sounds like he was shopping at my LHS. They are a ripoff, in a pinch I buy glue from them.
$200 for a hydra 120 is crazy, I found a dealer selling them for $140 w/ free shipping. I think I'm getting the $105 180A chinee one. Too many stories of you folks running on the ragged edge with the castle and cooking it. Cheaper w/ more headroom sounds good to me.

Is that motor really that much better than the $70 feigao XL? My current plan is for the xl13 (mine will be running 6s.)
I can see getting ONE pro sharpened and polished prop to see how it's done = $50 or more, after that, I'm going for the bare ones & do it myself.
That gps is on feebay nib for $75, used $40ish

I just can't see much more than $500 in my UL1, then again, I'm pretty careful with my money and don't mind doing some careful shopping.

Chuck, which flex and coupler did you get? I think I need one too.
5 cars, 9 trucks, 2 scale, 1 crawler, 2 boats, 8 helis, 3 planes, 1 jet, a hydralic endloader, and that’s just the ones that are rtr or nearly so, not even counting the ones in a bucket, ugh, I got it bad.

i am using .150 octura. also the neu motors are worth the $. the 13xl is great on 6s but i think that will be tight in this boat (i haven't got it yet so i dont know). the castle also worth it, they are only probs if over amp's
check out the build threads on the UL-1 as this isn't the place to discuss it

I based this on Brand new parts if you were to build one new.

And the motor was a mistake I added water jacket, motor together and it came to over 300.00.

Im glad you bought the stuff to do it yourself... I await the project pictures and videos...

Considering you took the time to copy my little setup...

Also Id let anyone get a good deal as to a smarta$$ throwing out odd emails stating your interested in my UL-1, then down me cause my price...

Some people work for there builds ect... cant just let it go cheap...
