    FS Neu 1515 1y

I am selling my used 1515 1y. I have around 18 runs on it. I pulled 140-170 amps through it and it ran 113f temp all the time. My hydra 240 popped and I am moving up to bigger boats and don't need it now. It comes with water jacket and collet for .187 cable. I am asking 160 shipped US.

The recomended prop is a x442 and the prop I used pulled 30 amps less. And the esc was replaced under warranty.

What is normal for amps? The fe calc comes up with the same numbers. I got an eagle tree data logger that should be somewhat close on accuracy. What does everyone else get for amps?

I just did a search and others are pulling 130 amps. So my setup was only 14 amps more than some of the other setups.

Your CG may have been a bit to far forward causing it to run wet and pull more amps then normal but that shouldn't have blown the Hydra 240. sounds like Castle is taking care of it though, they rock!

Not to mention that this is not continuous amps but the highest spike. I am a sport boater so I don't keep it pegged out. I'll post the data logs tonight when I get home.

Is there any chance the driveline was binding? Did you leave a gap between the strut and the drive dog?

I don't have experience with this, but it seems it was probably just the ESC. I'm glad Castle is helping you out with this issue. Certainly let us know if they tell you where the fault was.

Yes I did leave a 1/8 inch clearance.
                        I have some more pics.

Since everyone is giving me a hard time I will pull back the sale on this. I will just go out and buy another receiver and have fun with it.

I really don't think anyone was giving you a hard time but more trying to figure out why your ESC blew. That was a good deal on the motor, wish I would have seen it sooner.

That's too bad cause i was just about to make an offer. Oh well I guess, Ill just use the one I have instead for my hydro build.

red6, I can only speak for myself, but I do not believe anyone was giving you a hard time. As many of us have seen over and over, there are some people that are new to the hobby, I'm not implying you are, and when they encounter an issue such as the one you experienced, they quit.

I for one hate to see someone that has had trouble with one thing or another get discouraged. My motivation for responding to your issue was motivated by trying to help and help others that may have had or may have a similar issue in the future.

If you do not wish to sell the motor, that is not a problem and that is your right. If you are interested in selling the motor, then I hope you will reconsider as I'm sure this motor will sell for the price you want. It may just take a few days for everyone to see it's for sale.

Please keep in mind that when you read text, sometimes it may not come across the way that it was intended. Please don't take any offense to any of the comments I have made. I'm glad to see you are still interested in continuing in the hobby. After all, we're all here to have fun!
