26" Drifter Molds and Plug Tooling

    Hi Guys,

This is a set of original tooling plugs for the hull and hatch and a set of clamshell molds for a 26" highly modified Drifter. The molds will need to be cleaned up a bit and polished. The corners of the hatch area on the deck mold have some chips that need to be repaired with gel coat, the hull mold is fine.

The hull plug /tool will need to have the part seem touched up and the whole thing should be repainted before making a mold off it. The hatch plug is perfect, it has a light coat of tooling gel on it to protect the surface. I chipped some of it off so you can see the plug underneath. The gel coat comes off easy, it's ready to make a new hatch mold. Not sure where the hatch mold is but if I find it I'll include it.

If you know what this stuff is then you know what it's worth. If you don't know what they are or how to use them I would suggest staying away from them. The boat this was made from held the P offshore record and handles like it's on rails.

Price is 300.00 plus shipping. It's heavy stuff and will most likely be shipped in separate boxes.

    Paul.

        Hi Gerwin,

I did more than just removing the steps, the sponsons were totally reworked to suit the style of racing we do in the States. Also I reworked the transom to accommodate the type of hardware we use.

        Paul.

I would love to buy these if people are interested in some hulls of this. It is a great hull and Paul took the right moves to make this hull handle. They liked to spin out on the orginal.

Might be cheaper if I drive to Pauls to pick them up! Not sure what the plug is made of but I know the plug is heavy. Paul....what is the plug made of? Almost looks like Hydracal of somethinglike that.

                Hi Jeff,

                The plug is fiberglass.

                  Paul.

Looks like you did the right things to that hull.
So the " Drifter" is no longer a Drifter !!

Hi, I know it's way to early to know, but what would be a very rough guess what you would charge? That does look like a nice hull from the molds.
