Titanium turn fins for "P" and "P" Spec Sport Hydro's

Titanium Turn Fins - New Design

I have been making Titanium turn fins for "P" and "P" Spec Sport Hydro's for 3 years now.
With the new speeds we are now achieving, some changes have been made to the design.
To reduce the hull from climbing up on the fin at the speeds that we are running today with the Tenshock motors.
The lead angle has been reduced from 30 degrees to 17 degrees.
Also the machined edge has been increased from 5 1/2 degrees to 7 degrees making it longer by 1/4" to 21/32" long.
I also added a curved - elongated hole for the break away bolt.
The Titanium plate is 0.073" thick
As you can see in the pictures, I have yet to put these in the hydraulic press. If anybody is interested in a straight fin
(NOT Bent), please let me know as soon as possible.

NEW Pricing-All in USD . My cost for the material, water jet cutting, hardware and shipping has all gone up.

I now have "Q sizes fins and brackets with hardware also.

P- Brackets -$10.00 -with hardware -$12.00 Shipping with a fin.$3.00 on the east and $4.00 on the west
Shipping without a fin $6.00 on the east and $8.00 on the west side

I probably will buy one. Just curious were the hole and slot on turn fin… made for a specific turn fin bracket? What is the screw size for the turn fin?

Sorry it took so long to reply, I just saw this.

The round hole is 4mm. it is located 1/2" back from the front edge of the fin.

The slotted hole is 1/8" wide and 1 and 7/16" to the rear of the round hole. The slot is arced from the radius center of the round hole, for adjustably.

I will have brackets availably at the end of this week. Pictures to come.

I have some of my brackets ready to go out.

My turn fin bracket is 1/8" aluminum. in the pictures you will see three mounting bolts into the back of the sponson. I also use a 6/32" stainless threaded rod to connect the top rear of the fin to the body of the hull. This makes it a very strong mount. It is also adjustable by using the two lock nuts on either side of the fin bracket. After you have your rudder set straight, you can now adjust the fin to fine tune your hull to make it run straight.

If you buy a fin - the bracket will be $8.00 USD shipping $2.00
