Black Pearl P-Sport Hydro - FRAME BUILT

    Hi everyone,

This is a frame that I started but as most of you know I have other things going on, so trying to clear some stuff out. It is straight. No twist. No BS. West Systems exclusively.

It doesn't come with a canopy, nor does it come with skins. It is exactly as you see it. It's easy to make skins, just put paper up to face and fold over edges, then cut and trace onto wood. You sand most of the edges off anyways.

New un-assembled kits are 125, so I'd like to ask $100 for this since I have time into it (getting it straight!) and it is missing cowl and decking. I will split shipping with the buyer.

Plenty of video on this boat out there. Here is the latest: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FXaRIHC4oiU

Hull has plenty of wins and also holds NAMBA/IMPBA records for P-Sport.

    Thanks!!

Pete, the point where the half round meets the sponson needs serious reinforcement. That's where my LSH broke to bits last weekend. I was thinking about driving a simple wood screw with a washer into the half round from inside the sponson so that I'm not just relying on the epoxy at that location. Thoughts?

On the full P boats I run a length of all thread rod across with nuts and washers just behind the half round. Tyler has beat the crap out of that setup. Still holding after 3 seasons.

          Terry,

3 words says it all. Tyler three seasons. I'm sold on the idea! I've never had a boat come apart there, but I definitely don't run the speeds/stick time that you guys do.

Tommy, when you get going on this track me down. I have some pictures to help you re-enforce some weak points. Some simple blocking will make it bullet proof.
