You should be able to tell if it is Korean made by looking under the bolt on neck. But please don't disassemble unless the good Dr. wants you to look.
For additional info, it is also found under the bridge, but again, do NOT disassemble unless he wants you to look.

Given the price he paid for it, I would assume it is the Korean version. I already have a collection of fine American-made Fenders, Gibsons, Taylors, and a Parker Fly Classic Deluxe. The SG would add a sound that the single-coil Fenders, and the hollow-bodied Gibsons just can't create. The Parker comes close, but an inexpensive SG might be a good choice instead of that '59 gold-top Les Paul I've had my eye (but not my wallet) on.A nation of sheep breeds a government of wolvesComment

LOL! I didn't see the price he paid for it on first review. I'd have to agree with that assessment.
I come from the bass world having played probably over 1000 gigs over the years at all the major venues in this area and surrounding. Plus I've filled in for other headliner bass players including heavy jazz Bebop guys.
I hope this SG gives you the sound you're looking for.IMPBA: 7-Time FE World Record Holder "Don't think outside the box. Rather, refuse to admit that the box exists in the first place!"

What can I say? I have a great brushed motor/battery/ESC combo for his project that I will most likely never use. If the guitar sounds crummy, I could always pretend I'm Pete Townsend playing "My Generation".
One question for dudemanh: Is this an Epiphone or does the headstock say Gibson? I thought all the bolt-ons were Epis.A nation of sheep breeds a government of wolvesComment

Ahhh.... It's the Gibson "Signature Series" guitar. Does the headstock say "Signature" on it? Does the neck plate say Gibson/Baldwin? If so, I will consider it as an acceptable trade.A nation of sheep breeds a government of wolvesComment

Here are the photos. I note that you posted an Aqua Jet for sale. Is this the same boat for which you need a motor/ESC? It looks like the boat in your posting has the "550-sized" motor. The SS-1 I have is the "700-sized" motor.
Note: My SS-1 has water-cooling, brush cooling, and capacitors installed.A nation of sheep breeds a government of wolvesComment

Dude.... I never heard back from you when it was time to finalize the deal. I will even throw in a complete RTR Zig-Zag as well to make it a better deal. I suppose it is OK if you don't want to go through with it; those Chinese-made Gibson/Baldwins need a bit of work to make them playable. The biggest complaint I've seen is the fret wires hanging over the edge of the neck, just waiting to slice your fingers. Some judicious filing will take care of that. The setup (truss-rod adjustment, action, intonation, neck-body alignment, P/U height) on them usually needs fine-tuning as well.A nation of sheep breeds a government of wolvesComment
