        Hydra HV or better

Do you still have the control? With 10S what else is out there? I burned up a 240HV yesterday on 10S. I bought the set up from Fine Design and have both a 8s and 10s battery set ups. It screamed on the 10S but literally burned up after one lap.

I'm new to electrics and on a learning curve. I've played with gassers and turbines in the past.

        Thanks,Glenn

What hull, motor, prop etc,, What was the set-up that caused the failure?

            Help

I bought the Segad gas conversion Cat from Fine Design. Chris sent me the NEU 1527 Motor, Hydra 240HV, and 2 5s 25c 5000 mah packs for a total of 10s. Prop is and Octura 445.
He also sent me a 3S pack for a total of 8S. The speed control looked like it was used with white shrink wrap and no CC decal. So far my dealings with Chris have been less than favorable.

I was hoping to avoid these costly errors by dealing with someone experienced in electrics.

              Another Question

In both my gas planes and boats I ran a fail safe to prevent out of control crashes. Do you use a fail safe in fast electric boats?
