Hi Dave, I have a favor to ask. I'd like to get this but I have to find the hull I want to try this on, an X-Blaze hull. . .blast from the past. I don't know if you're familiar with that boat. If you do, would this work with it as this has a hole for a floating tube. I just got home and I would like to find it tomorrow in the morning and measure the diameter of the hole. Would you give me til noon tomorrow? I don't want to get it and to find out I've drilled too big of a hole. Do you happen to know how big the hole needs to be drilled for this? Anyways, any input or thoughts using this for the X-Blaze hull would be appreciated and if you can hold this for me would greatly be appreciated as well. Let me know if you will and I'll start looking for it. . .thank you Dave.

        Hey Brian,
I don't know that hull. I just took a measurement and the main hole would need to be about 24mm plus the four (4) mounting bolt holes of course. Could probably be another couple mm larger with use of some silicone to fill any gap.

I'll note it as a pending ale until you find out if it will work for you.

        Have a good night.

STILL ACCEPTING SECONDS ON THIS... IN CASE IT DOESN'T WORK FOR BRIAN.
        Have fun with that....

Hey Dave, one more question.. .so besides the spares, everything is there, flex, liner, rubber tube and does it use it's own collet or can I use any kind? Sorry, I just want to make sure my understanding is correct. . .thanks

Yes, Everything is included as purchased new plus the spare (extra) parts. It does use its own collet.

Here is a link to the item on the OSE site. There is a video near the bottom that will show some detail on how it works and how to mount a motor on it.

Actually Brian... I measured to the outside of the rubber. It looks like the metal portion is intended to go through the hull and then the rubber meets up to it on the inside of the hull. It's hard for me to pull back the rubber to get an exact measurement on the metal without pulling the unit all apart. So I took a measurement on the wall thickness of the rubber (from the extra included). The wall is 2mm thick, so if I minus 4mm total the hole "should" need to be 20mm.

Wish they'd provide that number on the directions or something. You can also see Steve and crew have some photos with dimensions available, but that dimension is not provided.
                  Have fun with that....

Ok, will do. When I find it I'll measure the diameter of the hole before I contact Steve. I really hope the hole I drilled is actually what it needs. . .that would be awesome. Maybe that's why I never did anything with it because I would think the X-Blaze hull was fated for this moment for this drive system and from you. lol. .

Good morning Dave, I didn't find the hull I was looking for but I found another brand new one with the original hardware holes. I forgot I have two of them. So I'm taking it and payment has been sent. Thanks again for your patience and the favor. As usual, it was a pleasure and have a great day. . .

Hi Dave, I received your package a few days ago but I forgot about it and I didn't get to open it until this evening. As usual, it's always a pleasure to deal with you. So it's here and everything looks great and can't wait to find the time to put it in. The boys and I are into drones right now and very little time put in with our boats. . .thanks again for the little favor. rating submitted.
