    FS / FT TP 5660/5D 1636kv

Got this in a combo sale but will be putting up for some lucky person. Advertised as new. Has cooling jacket and new 8mm bullets. The steering wheel is not included, sorry.

Only trade is pair of CR props.
$110 shipped conus. OBO. International pays difference.
These are $160 plus jacket, plus bullets plus shipping... WHEN they are available. (I'm still waiting on an 1/8 scale motor I ordered almost two months ago).

All questions/comments in the wide open... or I'll copy and paste them here.

Price drop! $110 shipped, trade for a pair of props, or are an offer.

You can find that out for yourself by dividing the KV into a typical shaft speed. Most use 30,000rpm as a good value, it’s not slow, but it’s not fast either. It is quick enough to wake up any boat coupled with the right voltage and prop.

So, you would do: 30000/1636 = 18.33V, which is very close to 5S, which is 18.5V 6S brings it up to over 36,000rpm, definitely in the fast zone, especially for oval racing. Running 4S it’s slow, about 24,000rpm.

So you choose between SAW racing and oval, or just sport boating. Then remember you can run bigger or smaller props. But the numbers would say this is a solid, 5S motor. That’s what I would run on it.

haha Depends on how big yer testies are.

Jesse, what have you run it on? I was thinking it could work in a 6s mono with the right prop. Might run a little hot for me though. I tried a smaller version with less kv and it runs warm already.

              Terry, this is still new.
If I were a SAW guy, this could be a good 6s motor with smaller props (42-45ish mm). But if a rigger, maybe bigger prop (47-50 max). I'm just spit balling here, as always, start conservative. Also as Craig indicated, this could be a good sport boat motor on 4s and big prop (60-65+mm) or 5s and 50-55mm prop.

I am an oval namba class racer and have no application for this configuration.
The motor appears quite good quality and is tight!

Since nobody has uttered the sacred "I'll take it," I'll offer chris this:
Let's trade this motor for a pair of race prepped props.
Since we know each other, I am ok sending motor now, then once I figure out which props, we work out any cash difference in a week or two.
                  This work for you Chris?
