I appreciate everyone's input, but I am not going to increase the risk of the boat getting damaged in transit to save $10. I have seen this in the past and experienced myself on large items (boat hulls) getting damaged because of incorrect packing/box size. It's my responsibility as a seller to be confident the item will survive handling by the shipping companies.

With that being said, I would be willing to do $100 plus actual shipping charges.

Where are you going to find a good hull w/full hardware, futaba servo, hughey shaft for $100 (plus shipping)?

It's not you saving the $10, it's the buyer and in my case it would save me $22, some of these other guys who are further out could save $30-40...that's quite significant when you're talking about a $100 boat. Now if it were a $500+ boat, I'd pay $40 for shipping a big box all day long. I just had a gas conquest delivered over the summer from Texas for $40 & that's twice the size...
If the buyer concurs to the box being shortened to 10", what does it hurt you? Add $3 to insure it and roll on...

Your boat though, to each their own, good luck with the sale.

Why don't you try USPS. I always find that they have the best rates by far. You can insure a package with them as well. Just a thought.

Sorry, I needed a quick boat to start building for a pool race next week and had to make a decision on what to start with ysterday. Almost done with it now, just waiting on a few parts.

I'm very interested. I'm racing in a revolt class and need a spare hull. I'm in San Diego.
