Hi Ken' I was pointed in your direction; looking for an older fullers rudder blade for a recently found classic hydro cordite powered boat. Doug Campbell thinks he might have stock in this but is out of town. I'll load a couple of pics of the boat I'm tring to fit... Here's hoping011_D.jpg009.jpg003_D.jpg

I'm pretty sure I have a couple rudder blades I could help you with. They may no be wet rudders though if that's a concern. I'll check inventory an get back with you tonight.

Hi Ken Thanks for the response. This boat isn't set up with wet, yet it would be nice to add that feature if possible. Way back in the 80's I gave water cooling to the industry, (Duh!, instead of making the money myself), through Jim Neuman's marine tips column in RCBM, showing how to water cool Joe Utasi's electronic speed controls, and was coil wrapping motor cans at the same install. Hobby Lobby wanted me to produce these coils for them and at the time, had to much else going in life and told them no.. the rest is model boat history... but for some one else. I would welcome a wet rudder if there was one that fit, but were they available with this hardware? Let me kow, otherwise Doug Campbell thinks he's got a blade or two around... I have yet to run this hydro, and don't know if I'd keep it's stock set up or change motors to full water cooled later..... Doug

Back in the eighties I was running a 36" nitro hydro. I had a wet head K-B motor, 0.4CI, which was cutting edge back then. There were no wet rudders that I could find, but no internet either. So I brazed on a copper tube to the backside of my rudder, bringing the tube around on the bottom side pointing forward to get water. It worked really well! My brother and I were racing 5 litre hydros, 19' hull then, 302CI Chevy injected on methonal and all the hydros had water pickups off the rudder like that. The sponson pickups were intermittent and caused motor issues... I just copied what was working good in full scale boats.
