I've been considering getting a Futaba system now that I'm getting into 60"-73" boats. I've only been using the typical Spektrum and Tactic systems on these 36" and smaller hulls, like what come with the RTR boats. Can you elaborate on how this TX/RX compares to those? I've heard fewer dead spots and longer range, but I don't really know by how much. I just want something reliable for piece of mind when sending a couple thousand dollars out away from shore.

I hear you Mike I did the same thing and will be posting all my big boats for sale soon. Unfortunately I was wanting the same as you. A more reliable system for my expensive boats and that is why I bought this. I never set it up so I have no feedback for you however everyone I know that run boats say that Futaba is the best. Sorry bud
