Can this be ran off a single 3S battery, with a dummy battery on the opposite side for equal weight distribution? I'm not sure if my daughter is ready to unlock its full potential.IMPBA 20583Comment

To answer you question . .Yes, although there are also other ways to run the boat slower. . . but as for using 3S you should be able to, but you have to get an EC5 adapter. As this boat is configured to run on two batteries, in this case, the two included Giant Power 3S 5000mah with EC5 connectors. So there are two Male EC5 connectors coming from the esc side, each going to one battery that has a FEMALE EC5 connector. You have to get an adapter. . .two FEMALE EC5 to one MALE EC5 so that the two MALE (from esc) plugs into each FEMALE side (adapter) and now you have one MALE to plug to one battery (female) for use while the other is a dummy for weight distribution. Then your next run use the other battery and alternate accordingly. . .but you can actually run both lipos in parallel to give you 3S 10000mah giving you longer runs.. Hopefully I explained it well enough because I'm bad explaining things in words, I tend to make things complicated. . .LOL . .keywords in remembering are the FEMALE and the MALE ends of the EC5 connectors so you get the right one and you only need ONE adapter unless you capitalize using both lipos in parallel then you need another adapter. This sure will be more than a beginner boat for your daughter because as her driving skills improve she has a boat that can definitely match her improved skills. . . .this boat is fast and fast. . .The props and batteries Tails up is including are plenty enough to achieve those claimed fast speeds. .So when she gets bored with 3S she can move along to 4S, but you'll need either one 4s, 2 X 4S(parallel) or 2 X 2S batteries. . and finally to 6S. . .no need to buy another boat as an upgrade since a lot of people usually upgrade to this boat..lol Also, Tails up has done all the necessary upgrades to maximize the potential of the boat's stock motor and esc and if you upgrade the motor and/or esc down the road it will handle it. All Tails up needs to do is post more pics to entice you or other potential buyers.. .good luck with the saleLast edited by Bp9145; 07-07-2017, 11:19 PM.Comment

Thanks for the info, running the batteries in parallel would work fine. She's been running a shockwave on 3s and is doing really good with it at 30mph. My intention is to start her off around 35-40 mph and as you said, it's the perfect boat to increase battery size gradually vs. buying the BJ 24 and then upgrading to the 29.
I'm interested in seeing more pics of this boat, I've got one in my OSE cart if nothing comes of this one or my WTB thread doesn't get any response.IMPBA 20583Comment
