I have my twin Mean Machine 2 for sale, The inside Transom and Hull have been reinforced, Sponsons have been Blueprinted with West Marine - Marine RX and all edges are sharp and flat.
It could use a new paint job, some chips and marks in the paint but the hull is solid.
It will come RTR except for Radio and batteries.
This boat was built to Race in the "P" classes (Offshore, Cat-Sprint)
This boat is designed for a 4S2P - 65c - 5000mah battery setup.
For Offshore class (over 4 minute run time) the 90mm EDF Tacon 3674 2Y/4Pole 1700kv motors with Left and Right hand water jackets from HRC were picked because of there higher efficiency and Watt ratings. I did however upgrade the bearings with Boca Ceramic Hybrids. With two motors the Amp draw has to be kept below 65A each. With this setup I was able to run at 55MPH and turn like on rails.
For "P" Cat-Sprint (6 lap Oval) I have a pair of LBP 3674 3D/4 Pole 2200kv Motors also with Left and Right hand water jackets from HRC
With this setup it runs 60MPH on rails.
With this hull I have found that running the props outbound it preformed a lot better for racing. It is more stable at high speed in the turns.
I also had to extend the rudder so that the leading edge was behind the props.
This was done because this hull does NOT have a overhang at the rear.
This hull is only 29 1/2" long, so it runs the same as a 33" or 34" hull that has a overhang. It also has a wider stance (5 5/8" between the sponsons) then other hulls which gives it more stability at high speed in the turns.
