One of a Kind 26" DarkHorse Mono

One of a kind Vacuum-Bagged Fiberglass 26" DarkHorse Mono, complete with all Speedmaster running hardware, .150" Flexcable driveline with flooded stuffing tube, and Spektrum digital steering servo. This hull is VERY light, but incredibly strong.

Boat is the 2016 NAMBA N2-Mono National Champion.

Ready to drop in your motor and ESC.

Finish is incredible, consisting of Autoair Pealized White and Lime Green, and cleared with PPG. (NOTE: I'll be removing the "1216" and the googly-eyes... those are mine. :) All decals can be easily removed, by the way.)

Here is the build thread I did here on OSE:

    http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...-Ver-2-0-Build

I figure it's worth at least the price of the parts...

    $285.00 shipped in the USA.

Did you end up remounting the motor in an effort to solve the cornering issues you were having? What prop were you running and what were the estimated speeds on your last motor setup?

It dawned on me that I was having a similar problem on my P-Mono, and it turned out to be the WAY TOO long rudder... This one has the same issue (had)... And larger turn fins.

Haven't any idea of what the actual speeds were, but it was running a Neu 1515 0.5Y on 2S2P 10,000 mAh and turning an ABC 1716 Prop... Speed is all relative to how much power/prop/battery/etc., you want to throw at it. :)

So you put a smaller rudder on this boat after the 2016 Nationals?

Just shortened the one that was on it.

Keep in mind... the boat was brand new at the Nats... that was it's very first race, and it wasn't sorted out completely then. Still isn't quite. There is more to be had. All of this adjustment is part of the normal process of tuning.

All that said... I still won 3 of the 4 rounds...

The pics don't do this boat justice. It's stunning in real light.

                Darin,
I'll take it for $285 if you throw in the prop.

I can do that. Are you referring to the 3-Blade in the build thread??

                      Darin,
Whatever prop would be the best for the setup that you ran. Send me your paypal address again. I needed something like this. I have a few batteries on hand that I wasn't using for anything. So why not buy a boat for them.

Probably the 1716. I'll probably set it up just like you had it when you won those three heats.

                            Bob, I ran a water-cooled Castle ICE200.

I can do the 1716. I think I have an an unfinished one I'll do up for myself to replace the one I'll send you with the boat.

Do you have the motor?? I just realized that I have the 1515 0.5Y with water jacket that I ran in the boat. I would be willing to sell that as well, if you need one. Make you a solid deal on it as well. $100.00??? That's complete with an OSE Water Jacket... I don't have an extra ESC, but you'll want something at least 200A, and you'll need to run it on 2S2P with a pair of 5000mAh+ packs...

If Bob doesn't want the boat, I'll take it.
