Castle Phoenix ICE 200 ESC converted to Water Cooled

For Sale - Castle Phoenix ICE 200 Converted to water cooled by Mike at ML Boatworks. I purchased this directly from Mike himself in 2014. He added an extra CAP bank, added water cooling lines, and pre-programmed it for running a NEU 1527 1Y on 6s. I never finished the ML Boatworks GP400, and it has been sitting ever since. It is capable of handling up to 8s Lipo, 34V max, and has a 5A Switching BEC. You will need a board with this one, as it was intended for use in stick (airplane) radios. $130 Shipped in the Continental US.

Don't need a Pistix if you are using a modern Spektrum radio system.

I've seen two sets of connectors, in this case bullets connectors, on some ESCs before and I think I know why but I would like to know for sure the purpose for having two sets of connectors. Darin, if you would kindly explain or someone would like to chime in and share some of your knowledge with this old man.. .I would greatly appreciate it.
As for modern Spektrum radio systems would a Spektrum DX4S or DX2e work? How about DX6i or is the DX6i not considered modern and is too old? Darin would this ESC mate well with a Castle 1717 1580kv or a Seaking 4092 930kv running 8S for a 42" mono? Your thoughts would be appreciated.

DX3C, DX3S, DX3R-Pro, DX4S, DX4R-Pro, DX6R (just released), all would work. The DX6i is a stick, so definitely that would work.

The ESC would work just fine with that motor, and the ICE200 is a 2S - 8S ESC, so yes, 8S would work. You're going to be pushing it, though, in that big of a boat. Just be a bit conservative with the prop setup to start with. I don't play with boats that big, so others here would have more experience.

As for making the ESC work with the TX, if you get to that point, I can provide you with the setup instructions. It's simple, but you need to be able to program the ESC with the Castle Link to make it all work.

Thank you Darin, I kinda thought the boat might be on the big side as well. I have a couple bigger motors, a CC 2028 and a TP 56XX, can't remember at the moment. I think that might work better with the bigger hull. I just have to find the cooling cans for them. I'm pretty sure I got cooling cans for them. As for the the two sets of connectors would you kindly give me a brief explanation for them? Is it so I can run two sets of 4S batteries in series or two sets of 8S in parallel? I appreciate. Hopefully, I'll find the cooling cans when I get home later this evening and hopefully we can come to an agreement regarding price unless you are firm on $130.

                    Thank you,
                    Brian

Darin I'm terribly sorry I forgot who was selling this ESC. It's mitchesx who selling the ESC not you (old age). LOL. . mitchex, as Darin was saying the motor I was going to match with this ESC might be too small for the 42" mono but I have bigger motors and just need the cooling cans for them. I was wondering if you could explain the two sets of bullet connectors so I know for sure of its function. Then hopefully I will find some cooling cans later this evening and we can discuss price unless you are firm with the $130 price. Thanks

The ESC has been wired for parallel battery connection by Mike L, it was already set that way when I bought it.

                            Hi David,
Please go ahead and take it. I have other options for my build that is if I even get started on it. Besides I couldn't find the cooling cans for the motors that I was going to use this esc with. If I got it then it will probably just sit here with all the other "stuff" that's on the back burner. Thanks for the respect though for not jumping in front like some guys here. . lol. . .for the price and the extras done to the ESC I believe you're getting a great deal on a great ESC. . . .Steve a thank you to you also
