    Refuse the box exists!

There is no reason to be hostile. The situation doesn't go away until you confront it. There isn't one person on this forum that would hold anything against you if you could admit that you have changed your mind or feel uncomfortable letting it go. You have to ask yourself, do you want handle this situation and move forward, allow it to consume you, or deny to yourself that it ever happened.

Its your choice. However, how can you expect anyone to treat you with respect if you fail to allow others to communicate openly. Hey its a forum, if you don't like it, don't log on.

NO IT IS NOT ON E-BAY, as you guys have probably noticed I have run several ads asking and wanting a Rigger style boat and Dr. Jet had recommended me buy this one from Hydro24, Dr. Jet sent me a PM and said that Hydro24 had this boat and he even wrote the URL address out for me to the advertisement that Hydro24 had listed. So I contacted Hydro24 about his boat and actually worked a deal with him LOOOONG before he put the auction on here but I was busy travelling and never got a chance to get back to him to let him know that I was going to in fact BUY the boat for the deal; and agreement that he and I had reached.

By the time I got back in town and PM'd Hydro24 he had started the auction, So I said to Hydro24 "I said I noticed that you have put the boat on an auction but you and I had already worked a deal out and I want the boat, he said well I didn't hear back from you so I didn't know what you were going to do. I TOLD HIM THAT I HAD COMMITED TO THE BOAT AND THAT HE HAD ALREADY COMMITTED TO SELL ME THE BOAT, So he went and ended the auction for me to follow through on the original deal he and I had worked WHICH ONCE AGAIN WAS LONG LONG LONG BEFORE THE AUCTION.

So that is the reason he ended the auction, he ended it for me, which was very very nice of him, he and I both could not help the fact that I was out of pocket and couldn't really make contact with him to let him know initially that I did want the boat.

So guys PLEASE be excited for me and be THANKFUL to HYDRO24 that he has helped a NEW and UP and COMING boat nut to the HOBBY. Please guys ease up on HYDRO24, if you guys were excited as I am that he eneded the auction so I could have a boat and so we could complete the original agreement that we had already set on the boat then you all would be THANKING HIM FOR BEING SO NICE TO HELP OUT A BOATING BROTHER.

THANKS TO YOU ALL THAT I NOW HAVE ME A BOAT.

          GOD BLESS YOU ALL,
          TODD

It would have been nice if he had shared that information with us. There were a couple of people interested in the boat and he ignored requests for answers. He logged into the site several times and did not respond to questions about the availability of the boat.

Too many "boating brothers" were left to hang and did not know that all of this had transpired.

Lack of communication was the cause of the bad feelings.

Hydro24’s knee jerk response did not give anyone a warm fuzzy feeling either.

Good luck with your new boat, I just bought one too.

Well I'm glad that is resolved! LOL!

Oh well, once you respond that way, you may offend some users permanently. I guess you'll have to start from scratch.

              I know, I'm like

I'm cool with everything but, That boat was on ebay yesterday. Same pics as here.
I really don't care either way but, the auction was there at ebay and It ended early. I was on ebay before the anouncement was made here that It was sold.

It's fine I was just bored for a sec.

Yes i put the boat on ebay, but when me and Todd closed the deal i CANCELLED it. This boat has been on here for a sale quite awhile, i got nothing but lowball pms. The boat has been sold to Mechengineer03 and has been shipped. As you see my ebay feedback is 100% but the offers and some of the remarks on here really teed me off. Totally uncalled for. So as far as this this website, im outta here for good.

                        Have a nice day

Yeah I bought the boat from him and he has shipped and also PM's me the tracking number, but I have also bought others items in the past from TOM on RCGROUPS and every transaction I have ever had with him or any dealings that I have had has always been TOP NOTCH and FLAWLESS transactions. He has always been a STAND UP TRADER IN MY BOOK and I WILL CONTINUE TO DO BUSINESS WITH HIM. Evendently all the guys that are bashing him hasn't never had dealings with him OR they wouldn't be talking about him that way because he has been one of the most stand up straight forward traders that I have dealt with and on RCGROUPS I have had alot of dealings and have a FEEDBACK rating of 97 under same user name (mechengineer03).

                            Just my 2 cents.

Lowball PM's...????? what else would you expect 1 day into a no reserve auction when you dont say what you want for it?

Isn't that how an auction works?

                              Thats my 2 cents!

While I don't agree 100% with how Hydro24 handled this whole ordeal, I can certainly see his frustration from lowball offers. Quite often here I'll see a listing "for sale- $200 plus shipping FIRM" with replies like "I'll give you $125 shipped"- WTF?? IMHO, if you don't want to meet the sellers asking price, just move on. Don't insult them with lowball offers hoping to get a deal. I have personally just thrown stuff away over BS like this- I would rather just toss it than let someone insult me like that, so I can see why he would get frustrated with it as well. I also bring a bunch of stuff to my LHS and tell her "give it to a kid who wants one" more often than even trying to sell stuff because of crap like this. I'd rather make a kids day than have someone insult me..

The best are the ebay guys who wait for an auction to end and say "I see it didn't sell, I'll give you $xxx for it (usually less than half the auction price)"- I have sent them pics of the item smashed in the garbage and they get all bent saying "why did you do that, you could have just given it to me then"- yeah, OK. RCU is even worse with lowballers and people offering straight up JUNK for trade when the ad specifically states "no trades"- I had someone offer me a Pokemon collection for an item I was selling- umm, let me think- NO! I'll give stuff away to help people, but not under those circumstances. I don't know if it is just the younger crowd that pulls this or not, but I don't really see it so much coming from the "older" guys.

Everyone wants to bitch about bad sellers or selling etiquette, but I think the buyers are just as bad- or worse most of the time, which is why the sellers are how they are.

                                Just my .02....
