Howard how big of a power supply would be needed to be able to use both sides of one charger using single 4s packs at 1 or 2 C

I believe Larry answered it correctly. The 24v supply is better. They do 2C but need the extra Juice. I switched to the larger more powerful charger so I could charge at 3c-4c......Patience is not my strong suit. These are just as good as what I upgrade too its just the new ones charge and discharge faster.

I can't say...there are better ones for similar price. try to find a 12v 75amp. I bet you can find one for $30-$40....

I may be off but this is what most guys are modifying and using today. Two together and you get 24v. Some guys are selling them ready to go with 4mm plugs already on them...

On second thought would you trade one for a complete partially built 1/16th scale hydro with running gear and new ESC and Leopard motor? The framing is all done needs to be skinned/ I think it need a turn fin and maybe a motor mount I will have to check been on the shelf for a year
