Hyperion 4035/800kv 8mm Shaft Outrunner NEW

Here is the last 4035/800kv outrunner monster you'll see me post for sale... its NEW but was mounted in a plane that never took off... the motor has never been put power too... and is as new shape... has 8mm shaft. As many know this is a great motor for gas boat conversions, and 1/8 hydros, etc... BIG power and nice lower amp draw... many have had success on the turnigy hv80 esc's on 8s.. will run 10s also with a slightly bigger hv esc...

    $89 shipped in US...

the wires I have doubled up the shrink on with marine grade shrink... I do this to all the hyperion/scorpion outrunners I have, keeps the heat better away from the motor wires.... just from experience its a good thing

Don't miss out on these, they were made for hyperion by scorpion, and neither make the 800kv anymore which is great for our boats... over 5000 watts of POWER :)

I have an old 40" Ward-Craft Deep Vee that was glow powered (.61). Steve recommended a Leopard 4092 (1390Kv) with 2-3S packs in series to power it. Do you think this motor would perform well in such a set up?

Chaaaa.... lol, it would most definitely do very well... it would run more scale speed on 6s with a big PROP... or run 9s if you have three 3s packs when you really want to go. Do some looking on here... you'll see they're a fantastic for what you're looking to do! Here is two of them in a MONSTER hull... twice the size as yours :)

could you solder 8mm bullet connectors onto these or do the wires need to be changed too ?

The wires are part of the windings, they cannot be changed. But you can solder on larger connectors, I have this same motor and it is using 8mm connectors.

This motor appears to be the same as the Scorpion-branded motor. This from actual use, not by comparing specs.

Thanks fluid, he is correct... I will say it ls pretty well known among heli guys these are scorpion motors made for Hyperion... In fact so some searches and you'll see the Hyperion/scorpion cooperation ended a couple years ago hence why Hyperion isn't making these anymore. :) exact same specs as a 4035/800kv scorpion .... Made by scorpion for Hyperion...
