    Hopf Haybusa mono

Hopf Hayabusa stepped hull. German made hull by Hopf. This is usually raced in the UK in mono1 class.

Length is 21 inches, width at widest point is 9 inches, transom width is 6 inches. Epoxy hull, two strips of carbon fiber cloth are added inside the hull to provide more rigidity. Using a wire drive and original Hopf hardware (except for turn fin)

As can be seen from the pictures the hull is very good condition, never damaged, or needed any hull repair. There are some minor scratches mostly occurring while in storage.

Being sold with Hacker B40 7xl brushless motor and Hacker70-navy speed controller, small scale metal gear servo is also included. The wing shape of the boat at speed does help it raise up in the water.

The flood chamber allows the boat to straighten up when it flips. This is a rare boat for the USA.

The link below shows the boat in action .

Remote control, receiver and receiver batteries are not included.

Asking price is $150 or near offer.

Shipping not included. International buyers welcome. Let me know where you are located for an ESTIMATE on shipping costs.

Paypal, money order, wire transfer accepted

    OK, I'll bite, $160 to 23188
I am surrounded by water, and sometimes it's fun to just pull off the road and throw a boat out. Not having to worry about setting everything up in a bigger hull, or if you can retrieve
it, or even not having your retrieval boat, and batteries with you, ( or kick yourself for wrecking a $1500+ boat). There's white knuckle, and there's I don't care, I don't have to

Hmmmm, just now noticed you placed this very same ad THREE AND A HALF YEARS AGO! Anything you care to add? Did you just put it on a shelf?

Been sitting on my shelf unused for about a year. Trying to clear up some shelf space. Still interested in purchasing?

Are those the same pics you used for the Rum Runner ad? So that would be two, and a half years of use. I'm thinking about it. Cannot find any info on the Hacker B40 7XL motor, only the L.

            Hi,

Hacker B40 7xl is no longer made, if you wish to confirm that it is a Hacker motor I can remove the motor and take a a close up picture. Let me know.

Yes the pictures of the boat are form the older post. I did take some newer images, apart from being a bit more dusty the boats looks almost identical to its older pictures. Would you like me to send you those pictures also ?

NO, you do not have to tear up the boat, post a link to an xl motor, is it the same stats of an L? You have used the boat for two and a half years after the pics were taken. You should post the updated pics HERE.

I can almost promise that the motor is a b40 7L as I have a b40 8L and it looks identical. I don't think there were ever any xl length 40 series cans, only L and S. The XL cans were only had in the b50 cans.

                Hope that helps some

And sorry OP, not in any way wanting to hurt your sale, hoping to help if anything!! and just offering up what I have on hand as assistance. The search for a b40 7xl will bring up nil. Here is a shot of the b40 8L I have next to a ruler and an 05 can motor.

                    Hi,

Thank you for the advice on posting updated pictures. See attached images. Also in reference to the motor, I wanted to be certain that it was a B407XL, so I pushed back the cooling coils, it is labeled B40 7L it is NOT B40-7XL as incorrectly mentioned. As can be seen with the updated pictures the "Hacker Master 70 - O - Navy" speed controller is included.

Any one interested in purchase of the boat let me know.

What batteries, AND mah did you use? I believe that motor is a 4286kv. I have plenty of 2S, but only a couple of 3S batteries. How long would 4400mah keep it on the water? How did/do you program the ESC? Are there any instructions for it anywhere? Does the boat stay pretty dry inside? Still kinda interested, yank my chain.

The boat stays dry inside, provided the shaft is greased and the hatch is taped up. The holes on the front are to allow water into the flood chamber when it is flipped, the flood chamber fills up and self-rights the boat. Depending on the size of the lipo you may want to add some weight to allow it self right quicker or add a few more holes on the front.

The amount of time it can stay on the water is dependent on the prop and the battery. The you tube video showed the boat running on a 3s pack I think it was 3000 mah battery and I got about 4 min of use with it, the battery was hot to the touch after the run.

The ESC can be programmed with the remote control, instructions for it should be available online. I do have a programming box for this which makes it easier, I would be willing to sell that with it for an extra $10 (provided I can find it).

Is your ESC the B, or the 0 model? OOPS! never mind. I see you stated O in post 7.
