2X Castle Creations Phoenix Lite 200amp Speed Controls WATER COOLED and USED

    Hey Guys,

I am slowly cutting back on my inventory so much of this stuff needs to go!

Both of these controllers started off as Aircraft controllers that I personally converted to water cooled. The cooling tubes/blocks were adhered using the Artic Silver Thermal Epoxy. These were only used at the nationals held in MI this year. Neither controller had anything more than 4S and 2200Kv hooked up to them. Very low duty cycles and NOT stressful set ups at all!

#1 – has the cooling tubes epoxied directly to the bus bars on both sides of the controller. While it took some creative bending of the tubes, it is a “smaller” package than #2. Price for #1 is $165 shipped in the US

#2 – has purposed machined bars on both sides of the controller. This was done to maximize the surface area for cooling. On each bar there was a “U” channel machined again to maximize surface area for cooling. Original box and paperwork included. Price for #2 is $195 shipped in the US

EDIT - I should also mention both of these are set up for 2P battery set ups. The connection is wound with solid copper wire and then soldered. This eliminates the need for an additional connector when using an "Y" adapter.

    Later,
    Mike

Hey Mike I am looking at one of these guys possibly for my N2 straight line rigger. Could you give me some rough dimensions, say width, height, and length, minus wire length. Also, do these have an internal BEC?

            Thanks

            Trey

Oh and are these waterproofed in any way?

              Thanks

                Hi Trey,

                I didn't get into the basement to measure these, but based on the original specs of the Phoenix ICE Lite below is what I would estimate;

Controller #1 as shown in the pictures; 1.75" (wide) X 4.25" (long) X 1.25" (tall)

Controller #2 as shown in the pictures; 2" (wide) X 4.25" (long) X 1.5" (tall)

No, these are not waterproof... Quite honestly, I don't think ANY controller is TRULY water proof. However, I have treated CorrosionX on OTHER controllers and I would consider those to be water RESISTANT. I also have a Hydra 240 that was at the bottom of a lake for 30mins to an hour that still works fine. Again, I would attribute that to the CorrosionX and properly "drying" out the controller before attempting to use again.

Regarding these controllers, they were mounted in a fashion that allow them to be elevated above the hull surface just in case there was water intrusion. I strive to keep my hulls water tight and rarely have a need to worry about water proofing...

                Later,
                Mike

Thanks so much for the info Mike, but after a bit more measuring its just gonna be too tight to risk the purchase.

                  Thanks

                  Trey

It looks like they have 6.5's

If it helps you out, I will include a bag of NIP 5.5's (10 pair) for my asking price in post #10
